Two weeks ago, the production Ford Mustang was revealed. This involved numerous stories from media outlets on everything from a "burnout button" to articles about whether people would buy hybrid or diesel Mustangs. The Mustang was billed as the 2015 model year reveal of the year and it didn't disappoint. But it's now time to focus on other important cars coming out for the 2015 model year (at least until the first media drives of the Mustang are published).

I love auto shows for the many, many activities for car enthusiasts. Messing with Ford's "intelligent" robot. Doing the Ride and Drives. Getting free coffee mugs. Questioning auto show models about the products they're standing next to. Collecting all the brochures I can only for my sister to later use them for scrapbooking.

Jalopnik likes to keep track of the different police cars around the world. This mainly consists of reporting the new exotic acquired by the Dubai Police Department or an update of the Carabinieri's Lamborghini Gallardo, with the occasional mention of a new domestic police vehicle.

Apart from playing too much solitaire for my own good and writing these lists, I spend a lot of time on online car configurators. You know, those sections of an automaker's website where you can create your dream car, feel a sense of accomplishment for five seconds, and then get back to that paper you were writing. (Though in my case, it's more like "Let's see what I can do to double the price of that Cayman...")

Time and again, I like to tell people how great it is to live in California. You can ski in the mountains and visit the beach on the same day. State and national parks abound and are nearby. Microbreweries are not hard to find. The automotive scene is excellent, mainly since we have Pebble Beach.
